TUC-TIN HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY AWARDED
a VisitBritain Quality Tourism Rating of '3 Stars'.
Tuc-Tin is a very cosy little cottage offering quality 1 bedroom self catering accommodation in the picturesque medieval village of Clun in south Shropshire. The eight hundred year old Clun Castle ruins can be seen from approximately two hundred feet away with the hills of the beautiful Shropshire countryside beyond.
There is a lovely pathway around the castle ruins and runs alongside the Clun river, which provides a beautiful walk for those interested in the historical side of Clun.
A perfect place to just relax or venture out for walks, fishing, cycle rides, horse-riding, bird-watching, or casually exploring southern Shropshire. Dogs are welcome too and are to be kept downstairs.
The Village has two pubs with very good home-cooked food, also two quaint Tea Rooms – one near the square and the other down by the Clun River, opposite the village Post Office.
Groceries and wines can be bought from one of the two convenience stores and there is also a high class butchers, a fancy goods & giftware shop called ‘Caracatus’, a news agents, a hair-dressers, a hardware store, a small petrol outlet & vehicle servicing work-shop, an antique shop which includes a small local art gallery – all within a short walking distance from Tuc-tin cottage. The beautiful St Georges Anglican church is also very near by, built at the top of the hill, five minutes walk up from the Clun river. Vicar Richard Shaw gives regular Church services and welcomes all.
